Stuffed Lady finger in Coconut Milk Gravy,

Ingredients of lady finger subji :

Lady finger vegetable - at least 20 nos
Coconut milk - thick and thin (click to know How)
Grated coconut, 
Red chili powder, Salt, Tamarind
Sesame, poppy seeds, Coriander seeds - 1tsp each

Bharwa bhindi recipe :

  • Chop lady finger to get around 3 inch long pieces. Give a vertical / longitudinal slit. 
  • In a little oil, quickly fry grated coconut till pink. Grind it coarsely.
  • Dry roast sesame, poppy seeds and coriander seeds. Grind these along with little tamarind.
  • Add together this ground mix, coarsely ground coconut, goda masala, red chili powder and salt. Blend the mixture well.
  • Stuff this mixture well into the vertical slit of lady fingers. 
  • Heat oil in a woke and shallow fry the stuffed okra with little salt. 
  • Cover and cook for a few minutes. When half cooked, add thin/semi-thick milk of coconut and cook well. 
  • Once sabji is completely cooked, add thick milk of coconut. Boil for a few seconds and take off the heat.
Stuffed lady finger in coconut milk gravy is ready.
